Raised in Chapel Hill, NC, he graduated from Hampton University with a Mass\Media Arts degree. He later moved to Los Angeles and through a great friend, started working at Lench Mob Records, where he quickly rose through the ranks and eventually was able to go on tour with the label owner, Ice Cube, as a marketing rep for the company.
Lee left the music business and went on to work on various TV shows, movies (etc) as a Production Assistant, and later as an Outside Field Rep with The Screen Actor’s Guild. When the opportunities arose, he transitioned into comedy writing, for various stand-up comedians like Flex Alexander, Corwin Moore, Dante Chang and others.
He next became a writer on the UPN Network TV hit, “One on One”, (currently streaming on Netflix), moving up the staff each season. Lee then wrote on various network TV pilots: “Cuts”, “The Bow Wow Project”, “Def Sketch Jam”, “Deon Cole, Too Black” and many others. He then became a writer on the MTV show, “Ridiculousness.”
Next stop was writing on the critically acclaimed Comedy Central (animated) show, “Legends of Chamberlain Heights,” and after that he created and Executive Produced the comedic clip show, “Lawd Have Mercy,” which is currently streaming on the UMC network via Amazon Prime Video.
Lee currently writes for the Disney Channel show, “Just Roll With It,” and is pitching various TV projects and movies throughout Hollywood. Lee House is an entertainment business veteran who has seen a lot and learned even more through the years.
