SFI Virtual Internship Program
About The Program
The SFI Internship program offers an exciting script writing opportunity for screenwriting majors. The program provides college students with diverse creative opportunities to gain hands–on experience working collaboratively with an award winning production team. During the SFI internship program, every intern will participate virtually in all aspects of script development, ranging from concept to fully written and produced short films.
Script development (virtual writing room with experience script writers and filmmakers)
Participating writers receive an IMDb credit for scripts that are produced
Participating students must be going into their junior or senior year
Completed scripts are professionally produced
Eligibility Requirements
Prior screenwriting experience a plus
Completed films are submitted to film festivals
Undergraduate and Graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited educational institution
Submit 2-3 writing samples to qualify
Application decisions are based on your major field of study, past work/internship experience, and any extracurricular activities. Ideal candidates will be organized, hardworking, self motivated, and enthusiastic about the TV/Film industry.
SFI Virtual Internship Overview
Our screenwriting internship is for aspiring writers interested in gaining hands-on experience working with a production team that has a proven track record of success in TV/Film. The creative focus of this internship is the writing and producing of socially conscious short films (Dramatic, Live Action, Sci-fi).
